The mindset required for the design of the new generation of sensor networks is key to their success, and is different from what has been applied to that of previous systems.

Do you want to learn how to characterize spime networks?
Are you interested in heightening your sensitivity to the opportunities of the Internet Of Things?
Do you want to increase your skills in a fun, and challenging team effort?

The Spime Design Workshops organized and taught by WideTag’s professionals are a unique series of events. In half a day you will:

    • Get introduced to the world of spimes
    • Learn how to recognize, and characterize the features of spime networks
    • Work in a team to solve challenging scenarios
    • Present your results to the acclaim and critical feedback of the other participants

The Spime Design Workshop is an innovative workshop format for interactive knowledge sharing. WideTag’s experts, recognized worldwide as leaders in the field, will start the event by introducing the basic concepts of the Internet Of Things, and the necessary basic feature sets of next generation sensor networks. The lively, and provocative style of exposition enables the participants to prepare with an open mind for the more active parts of the workshop!

The interactive session begins with setting the stage, and assigning the tasks to the participants, who are divided in groups working in parallel on their ideas. These ideas, outlining the nature, and utility of possible future spime networks, are not haphazard, and arbitrary, but follow the carefully chosen set of variables defining them, and the specific values of these variables picked by the group for its exercise. The workshop teacher follows the groups work, answering questions, giving guidance, and further input as needed.

At the end of the planning session, the groups present their project to each other, enabling further idea exchange, and workshop ends with a conclusive Q&A and a final summary of the basic concepts.
