iCrocco is WideTag’s test bed for social hardware development

This sensor-laden, usb-connected, emotionally-charged plastic provocateur is the basis for workshops, and consulting in further projects in the gaming and publishing industries.

What is iCrocco?

It is the union of electronic toys, emotional peripherals, and social networks. You can interact with iCrocco, which will respond to your petting it, for example. But contrary to previous generations of electronic toys, iCrocco’s reactions are not local, embedded in the hardware: they reside in the net, and are entirely software programmable. It’s emotions, its soul as it were, can be displayed on a computer monitor. But furthermore, iCrocco can be your gateway for emotional displays on social networks, where multiple iCrocco devices will show the emotions of their owners, and in turn connect to the network of friendships, and social applications online.
