WideNoise in Top 10 Internet Of Things Products Of 2009

RWW Top 10 IoT 2009 in NYT The emergence of a new meme is not linear, and it does not proceed in a constant fashion, from being a niche thought, to a mainstream one. This is also the case of the Internet Of Things, which—while not breaking through to mainstream status yet, for sure—gained a lot of visibility during 2009. And this is why we are so proud, that the New York Times, in a syndicated post by ReadWriteWeb, a leading blog covering web prodcuts and trends, included our WideNoise application among its Top 10 Internet Of Things Products Of 2009 report!

During 2010 for sure there will be many new announcements, and products, not only from us at WideTag, but also many others. But, hey, we will surely aim to be in the Top 10 list next year as well!

    2. It was very interesting to read the articles. I’m sure that 1 of the 10 Internet of Things products of 2010 will include Precyse Technologies solution.Precyse is using The PBC Beacon Cell which is a stand-alone device (no infrastructure connectivity required), which continuously transmits its unique ID over the air in a predefined range. Tags traveling through the field and entering the RF transmission range of the PBC senses the RF signal and reports the central system on its proximity to the beacon ID registered. Thanks to the combination of low cost, low maintenance, and small size, the PBC is a unique and attractive solution for large environments monitoring and positioning where low to medium accuracy is sufficient.
This solution reduces to minimum the number of Base Stations (which are expensive and infrastructure connectivity required, while keeping accurate precision, long cover (3 ml), and long battery life (4-6 years). To build the infrastructure of the IOT is important and inspiring.
